If you focus on something, you get more of it. Unfortunately, that’s also true when it comes to focusing on the things we don’t want.
If you’re constantly complaining about what you lack, you invite more of it.

1. Repeat positive affirmations before you go to sleep.
Nothing can help you sleep better than focusing on a powerful mantra – and eliminating all other thoughts from your mind.
Think of a positive sentence. Start repeating it, silently, in your mind. That’s the quickest way to remove all other thoughts and empty your mind. Let go and fall asleep.
2. Let go of negative thoughts.
Many people tend to worry that they won’t get enough sleep, that they will be lying in bed with their eyes wide open – just trying to stop over thinking things.
Because they fear and imagine this scenario in detail and dedicate so much energy to it every night, it actually happens.
That’s how their negative attitude prevents them from having a good nights sleep.
Stop thinking you have sleep problems. The first step is not to say it out loud in front of others. Catch and stop yourself whenever you have negative thoughts about your sleep paterns, until eventually they are not true for you anymore.
3. Control your expectations
. Most people just expect their sleep to be bad. And that’s what they get.
Don’t be like them. Instead, be sure that you’ll fall asleep the moment you go to bed, that you won’t wake up at night and that you’ll be fresh tomorrow morning ready to seize the day.
4. Look forward to going to bed.
Enthusiasm, even if it’s fake in the beginning, makes all the difference.
Most people are grumpy in the evening. Tthe closer bedtime gets, the more depressed, anxious and negative they are.
That happens for a few reasons.
- First it’s because they carry all the problems and stress from the day with them. They keep reliving everything negative that happened during the day. As we know – what you focus on your invite more of.
- Second, they think tomorrow would overwhelm them even more, and are upset about it up front. It’s no surprise that their mind doesn’t let them go to sleep – they are prepairing theirselves for disaster.
What you need to do is learn to let go of all that doubt and worry.
Accept everything that happened today, and let it be. It can’t be changed. There iss something you can do though – perform better tomorrow, be more positive, get more things done and be a better person.
Focus on the things you can change. Expect the best to happen, smile about tomorrow morning and be enthusiastic about it.

5. Visualize great things.
When you go to bed and your mind starts coming up with new ideas, planning the following days, or going through old memories, stop it.
Instead, start imagining your successful future. Start visualizing all your dreams coming true. Think about your ideal lifestyle.
- Do you want to be working for yourself in the future and be able to move to a tropical island and make money doing what you love from there?
- Imagine yourself lying on the beach, with your laptop next to you. You’re location independent and living the dream.
