3 Ways to Start Enjoying Change

With change comes progress. You can’t really expect any results if you don’t try new things, if you don’t grow and learn all the time.

Most people fear change. They seek security in the comfort of what they already know, and don’t know how to do something different.

Here are 3 Ways to Actually Start Enjoying Change.

The best way is to try a new approach towards change - to start looking at it from another point of view.

1. You’re already changing.

Every morning you wake up as a new person, someone different from yesterday. You’ve experienced new things, have met new people and have changed something about yourself, whether you realize it or not.

And if you don’t take control of that, you can keep changing in a negative way.

So start focusing your time and energy on positive things.

  • Focus on people who make you feel good about yourself.
  • Focus on doing things that will help you be more productive, build character and become a better person.

You’re already changing, anyways. Make the best of it and use it to your advantage.

Think of ways that will help you get more done, take better decisions, spend time in a healthy environment, associate with successful people, feel more confident, or anything else you'd like. Now that's a good, focused way to change.

2. Visualize success.

  • What if you could become fitter in just a week?
  • What if you could feel confident enough to approach strangers by just repeating self-esteem affirmations in the mirror each morning?
  • What about becoming successful in another field?

You’ll have to quit your current job and try something new.

Answer those questions in detail. Think about how the new, better version of yourself will feel in their daily life, how others will react to you and how one success will lead to another like a snowball.

You have all it takes to become that person, and you already know it, so start now. Let these thoughts and visualizations motivate you to embrace change and work on improving yourself by taking action today

3. Be present.

We tend to spend too much time in the past - reliving old situations, letting regrets consume us, imagining how things could be different. We also spend a lot of time in the future - fearing what might happen, trying to predict it and prepare for it.

The only thing that happens as a result is that you're not here, you're not enjoying the present moment and you're not living life to the fullest.

In order to change that, leave the past behind, accept that the future is unpredictable and let it go. Focus on the now.

This moment is everything you have, it’s your only chance to create a better future you, and the only place you should be at. So appreciate it, see what’s around you and make the best of it.

That should be your approach to change too. It’s a process, and in order to make the journey successful, you need to enjoy it. Being mindful of the present can help you fall in love with change, as you’ll be taking it one step at a time.

This way it won’t be overwhelming, scary or difficult. You’ll be going with the flow, while doing what’s best for you and making sure you grow and improve in every area of your life.
